If you want a washing machine that is built to last, the Speed Queen AWNE8 top load washer deserves a close look. Speed Queen has a long reputation for commercial-grade laundry equipment, and the AWNE8 brings that toughness to a traditional top loader.
As a Speed Queen agent in Welkom, Welkom Appliance Repairs sees what goes wrong with washing machines every day. Here is what makes the AWNE8 stand out, and why it matters.
Commercial-Grade Electronic Controls
The AWNE8 has an electronic touch pad control designed for commercial use and tested to 1,000,000 depressions. The control board is commercial-grade and tested to 10,400 cycles. Control boards are one of the most common causes of washing machine breakdowns, so this kind of testing counts.
Austenitic Stainless Steel Wash Tub
The wash tub is austenitic stainless steel, which Speed Queen says gives better corrosion and wear resistance than the ferritic stainless steel tubs used by competitors. In Welkom’s hard-water conditions, a tub that resists corrosion and wear is a real advantage.
Porcelain-Coated Steel Outer Tub
The outer tub is porcelain-coated steel, designed for coin laundry use. It helps prevent chips, cracks and corrosion, and it lasts longer than plastic. That makes it a good fit for busy households and for laundromat owners.
Heavy-Duty Drive System and 1 HP Variable Speed Motor
Under the machine you’ll find a heavy-duty, all-metal pulley and drive system. It is paired with a 1 HP variable speed motor for commercial-grade wash performance.
Solid Mount Suspension
The AWNE8 sits on a solid mount suspension system with a full steel base and heavy-duty springs. This is designed to give the best out-of-balance performance, minimal vibration and a long machine life.
Traditional Full-Size Agitator
The traditional full-size agitator moves water through the clothes to create a better, gentler wash. Many people still prefer the proven agitator design for everyday laundry.
Durable 3-Coat Finish
The 3-coat finish is designed to resist years of wear and tear in coin laundromats. It will keep looking good in your home too.
